Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held
this evening. Voting age is 16. Non-members are invited to attend the meeting
as observers. The meeting will begin at 5:30PM with a potluck dinner. Each family should bring enough food to feed
their family plus a couple of extra people.
All members are strongly encouraged to attend and other regular
attenders are welcome to come and observe.
Operation Christmas Child collection
suggestions for February: bar soap, wash cloths, and Valentine themed stuffed
animals, small toys, pencils, etc. Place
items in the wrapped box in the hallway.
It’s time to update
the church directory. We ask that
everyone complete an information sheet, allowing us to be sure all information
is up-to-date. If you have out-of-town
family members who wish to be in the directory, please complete one for them
also. Please submit all information by
Sunday, February 11.
The 2024
Scripture Memory Challenge passage is Ephesians 4:25—32.

is available to pick up on the hallway table.
We will be voting on its approval at the meeting tonight.
February 9
will be the second meeting of our new Friday Fellowship for those too old for
DoorKeepers and too young for Seasoned Saints.
We will have a Souper Supper (bring a crockpot of soup or a plate of
sandwiches and sides) followed by a time of fellowship. Bring a favorite table game, or plan to join
a team for a couple of travel-themed digital and paper/ink escape rooms. Sign up at www.perfectpotluck.com
(coor. name: Henry / password: Friday).
The
DoorKeepers (grades 7—12) will meet at Cordova Bowling Center, 7945 Club Center
Dr., on Saturday, February 24, at 2PM for a fun time of bowling (and maybe some
air hockey) followed by pizza. We should
finish around 5:30PM. Please let Bethany
Henry know of your plans to attend.
The Men’s Chili Cook-off is just around the
corner on February 25! The best chili in
the Mid-South will be lined up in Wilson Hall, and we will all enjoy a great
meal. Please have entries here by
5:30PM; we will eat at 6. Ladies, bring
along chili fixin’s, sides, and/or desserts.
The winner will take home the Silver Spike Award for the year. Phillip Raymer is the defending champion.
