COMING EVENTS

Friday, May 10, 6PM            Doorkeepers Movie Night

Sunday, May 12                  Mother’s Day—no evening service

Saturday, May 18, 2PM        Ladies Crafting Activity

Sunday, May 19, 5:30PM      AWANA Awards Dinner

The DoorKeepers will assemble this Friday evening at 6PM here at the church to enjoy a movie together with lots of tasty snacks.  Thanks to Shirl LaVoice and Debbie Stevens for heading this up in Bethany’s absence.

The Ladies Crafting Activity on Saturday, May 18, 2 to 5PM, will be led by Judy Hearne and Martha Clay.  Please direct any questions to them.  The purpose of this afternoon is fellowship while expressing personal creativity.  You can bring your own craft or participate in projects for Operation Christmas Child.

During the month of May, we are striving to collect the needed hygiene items for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this year.  Items still needed include washcloths, nail care products, tweezers, hair accessories, combs, small brushes, chap stick, compact mirrors, and toothbrushes.  We are no longer sending soap as it is causing problems in customs.  If you can contribute, bring items to the church throughout the month of May.  Bethany has also created an Amazon wish list to purchase items in bulk starting at seven dollars.  If you would like the link, send her a text message requesting it (901-490-6171).

LeaderTreks will be back among us this summer.  Five different youth groups are currently scheduled to be here between June 9 and July 27 to experience discipleship training and ministry in an urban setting.  Start praying for them now.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,        as God in Christ forgave you.”               Ephesians 4:30
