A short congregational meeting will be held after the morning service for members to vote on a new name for the upcoming church merger.  Any name that receives at least 51% of the votes will be the new name.  Options are Heritage Bible Church, Redeemer Bible Church, Memphis Bible Church, or Veritas Bible Church.

Adult Bible Study with Roy Flora and Teen Bible Study with Debbie Stevens will be held this evening at the Evangel Church property, 262 N Perkins, at 5PM.

Bible Study Hour is Sunday, 9:30-10:30AM. There are two adult classes to choose from (fellowship hall and room 3) and a class for every young person. As we delve into the Scriptures together, we also get to know one another better.

Our DoorKeepers, rising 7^th grade through 12^th grade, will be completing the first course of the True U series this summer under the direction of Debbie Stevens, Lamar Matheny, and Sara LaVoice.  Tonight they will complete the second session of Does God Exist?—The Big Bang Cosmology: “The Finite Universe.”  Young people, you won’t want to miss this valuable study.

The first LeaderTreks team will be coming in this afternoon to serve in Memphis.  Four other youth groups are currently scheduled to be here between June 30 and July 27 to experience discipleship training and ministry in an urban setting.  Start praying for them now.  Becca Vandervoort is leading the first group; Aiden Jenik will be here during the weeks in July.

The June Friday Fellowship for our church family that is too old for DoorKeepers and too young for Seasoned Saints is coming up.  We will meet here at the church on the evening of June 21 for a Mexican Fiesta and Ice Cream Social.  Come prepared for a great time of fellowship.  Sign up at www.perfectpotluck.com (coor.: Henry / password: Friday).

 

Dear Friends,

Thank you for the beautiful dish garden arrangement you sent to my mom’s funeral and thank you to those who were able to attend her Life Celebration.  Over the years of caring for my mom, you have prayed for her and me and often asked how she was doing.  Words cannot express how much this has meant to me.  It is truly a blessing to have a church family that you can count on and who loves always.
