We need your help!  Please make plans to attend a church workday on Saturday, August 9.  We will assemble on the North Parkway campus at 9AM to move the final items to this property.  This includes

the church library and the Operation Christmas Child

supplies as well as other items.  If you have a truck or a dolly, please bring it. See Harvey Matheny for more details.

 

Don’t forget!  Next Sunday is the second Sunday of August, and you know what that means—Second Sunday Lunch.  Bring something to share and plan to enjoy a good meal together after the morning worship service.

 

Our AWANA organizational meeting is coming up next Sunday, August 11 following Second Sunday lunch.  If you are interested in helping with this program for young people age 2 through twelfth grade, please plan to attend and see how God can use you in the coming year as we strive to disciple our young people.  We need people who can teach or listen to verses or supervise game times and more.  Have questions?  Talk to Daniel Jones.

We will have a special Friday Fellowship this month, August 22.  It will be a potluck fellowship here at the church.  Following dinner, Steve and Gloria Dee will share about their trip to Egypt earlier this year.

 

Mark your calendars for a special Missions-focus on Sunday, August 24.  Gary and Winnie Whitmore will be speaking during both the Sunday School hour and the morning service.  Additionally, our children will be presenting some of what they have learned this summer during OCC Operatives, and we will hear the testimony of Antonia James, an Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipient from Belize.
