Our weekly Bible club for children age 2 through twelfth grade

begins the 2025-26 club year this evening.

No Adult Bible Study this evening.

Ladies Bible Study resumes for the fall semester this Tuesday, September 9.  They will be studying the second part of the book of Isaiah with the Precept study. Dr. and Mrs. Jim Allman will be their special guests on this opening evening.  Bring a “tailgate” dish to share at the kick-off and hear Dr. Allman’s introduction to the second half of Isaiah. DoorKeepers, join us Saturday, September 13 at 5PM of a couple hours of fun, competitive shoebox preparation with a nacho bar and ice cream to follow.

Next Sunday, September 14, is our second of four missions emphasis Sundays this fall.  The Dugans, Word of Life missionaries in Australia, will be our special guests.  It’s also Second Sunday, so we will enjoy lunch together.  Bring a favorite dish to share, and plan to get to know these missionaries better.

Make plans now to attend the Operation Christmas Child River City Kick-off Rally here at our own church on Saturday, September 20, 10AM to noon.  You won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn more about what God is doing around the world through simple shoebox gifts and how you can be a part this year!

Operation Christmas Child preparations are swinging into full gear this month.  Our first packing party of the season takes place, Saturday, September 27, from 1 to 4PM.  We plan to pack 400 boxes for 2 to 4 year old children.  Many hands make light work.  We hope you will all plan to attend.  Whether you can pack one box or twenty, your help is moving the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  A second packing party will be held on November 1 from 10AM to 2PM to pack 500 boxes for 10 to 14 year old children.

2025 has been a year of continued investment in His kingdom.  There has been sowing seeds, cultivating growth, and reaping harvest.  All of this comes by the Lord’s provision, for His glory, and through your kind support.  This year our students have shared the Gospel to more than 16,864 people, through which 3,395 professions of faith have been made.  We are praising the Lord for every soul reached with the Gospel.

As the season changes from summer to fall, we recogize the continuing need.  There are more pastors eager to be trained, more regions opening doors, and more opportunities to steward well.
