MISSIONS UPDATE: Creig and Sherry Marlowe, serving Europe and the world through Biblical education with European Christian Mission
Creig just completed a series of Zoom lectures on Psalms for the SAIACS school in Bangalore, India. We covered ca. 12 Psalms and related issues in 3 hours of class time for each day. Now having “fun” grading papers. Each student had to write a critical evaluation of my published article on Psalm 51. Hopefully we all can be objective. The constant challenge of engaging in Hebrew OT interpretation is submission to what the text (and not our tradition or expectation) says.
Still hoping I can visit the SAIACS and/or the COTR school (where I have taught previously) in India physically someday (instead of just on-line), but current governmental and religious issues make it difcult for outside Christians to visit or especially do missionary work. Pray for a new era of openness.
Sherry’s work at the Salvation Army store is going well. It’s been good practice for her Dutch language. Pray for Creig’s upcoming trip to Latvia.
